Angela Palmquist was born and grew up in Germany. She attended the Rudolf Steiner School in Basel, Switzerland where she received the foundation of her Style. Several years of residence in Greece influenced her vision of nature and light.
Angela works primarily with watercolor, pastels, and gouache. She often uses a wet-on-wet watercolor technique, which gives remarkable nuances of color and shade.
Angela’s Paintings often begin with fundamental colors and the different energies inherent in those colors. From there she determines the compositional forms she wishes to show. During the process of painting she is conneced to the spiritual world in a meditative way.
Angela paints in all sizes. In addition to show pieces, she does extensive commission work.
